Gwent Police have confirmed an attempted arrest attempt in Govilon.

Officers were conducting arrest attempts in Govilon on Tuesday 17 September following a report of an assault.

According to eyewitnesses, there was a “heavy police presence” on the Tuesday afternoon, with four police cars sighted outside the village store. One local further reported that there were two armed officers on the scene.
