BLAENAVON'S Christmas lights will be switched on this Monday, December 1.

Blaenavon Town Council in partnership with Torfaen County Borough Council have this year provided new LED energy saving Christmas lights for the town.

The procession starts at the workmen's hall at 6.50pm and will finish in Market Street at 7pm for a carol service where the presentations of the scrolls of honour will take place.
