THE A4042 at Abergavenny has re-opened following a road traffic collision earlier this evening.

Gwent Police had earlier reported that the road was closed between Llanellen Bridge and the Hardwick Roundabout while emergency services dealt with the collision. Drivers were warned to avoid the area.

By approximately 7.30 the road had reopened with Gwent officers thanking motorists for their patience.
