A band of enthusiasts are in the process of reviving what was once the Abergavenny Folk Club - but with a broader appeal.
The updated version will be a mix of folk, blues and country and be purely acoustic.
The first session will be on Sunday evening September 25 at 7.30pm upstairs at The Hen and Chicks
The aim is to introduce traditional and contemporary music with as much variation as possible.
Singer songwriters, performers – solo or bands - will be welcome to perform or to just go along to listen, with no obligation to play.
Instruments of any kind, a cappella, jam sessions, whatever seems appropriate on the night, will be catered for.
Ideally the evening will be as informal as possible and it is hoped that it will be a regular once a month event
