LOCATED amongst the new Autumn Colour Tree Collection and the wild grass and flower bank, visitors of Linda Vista Gardens can now enjoy three park benches donated by the Homemakers community recycling charity to Friends of Linda Vista Gardens.

The gardens have recently undergone a number of improvements, including the ongoing refurbishment of the front gates and the addition of the Autumn Colour Tree Collection, in which young trees are sponsored by members of the public. ?Friends of Linda Vista Gardens contacted Homemakers to ask for benches which will give “people the chance to sit and enjoy the glory of the trees as they mature over the years.” The benches themselves are some 50 to 60 years old, and are thought to have served in several locations over their lifespans before being restored by Homemakers and installed by Friends of Linda Vista.

In the past, Homemakers have made other useful donations to the gardens, including a bin and tools.
