PUPILS from an infant class have shown they could be the house designers of the future after winning a South Wales ‘Build a Dream House Competition’, held in Newport.

The creative pupils, from Llanbedr Church in Wales School near Crickhowell, scooped a £500 prize with the design, construction and presentation of their dream house.

The school was recently awarded a top Green categorisation as a ‘Highly effective school’.

Head teacher, Mrs Linda Green, stated, ‘This Green Category reflects the hard work by devoted staff and the huge effort of our school to teach and support children of all ages.

‘We have a fantastic, friendly school here with lots of extra curricular activities, Pre-school setting with breakfast and after school clubs and a Tots and Tiddler’s club on Friday mornings.’
