AN ABERGAVENNY man appeared before a judge at Newport Crown Court last week on charges of causing the deaths of two men by dangerous driving.

Luke Jones, aged 24 of Dan-y-Coed, Clydach, didn't indicate his plea in connection with the two deaths on the Blackrock section of the A465 Heads of the Valleys road in October 2012.

The case against Jones was adjourned and will be heard at Newport Crown Court on May 24. He was released on conditional bail.
