Abergavenny Museum is calling on local people to help with the research for its next exhibition - ‘Monmouthshire Women Making Change’ which will celebrate and highlight the fantastic things local women have done in the area and more globally.
"We will be including information relating to national events such as Women in the War, the Suffrage Movement and the Peace Movement, but would also like to include information on the many local groups who were formed for social purposes and occasions, through common interest or who exist to make a difference and help others," said museum curator Rachael Roger
"We are also happy to include groups operating close to but outside of Monmouthshire – for this project the county borders can be flexible," she added.
If you would like your group to be included or know of a group the exhibition might like to consider then please email [email protected] marking the subject line ‘Monmouthshire Women Making Change’.
The museum has a group of volunteers working on the project every Friday so they will pick up the emails and get in touch with you about what information you are able to provide.
"Alternatively phone Abergavenny Museum on 01873 854282. If you are able to do this on a Friday and ask to speak to Beth, Hannah or Laura that would be great," said Rachael
"We look forward to hearing from you," she added.
