Pupils and staff of Our Lady and St Michael’s Primary School in Abergavenny have welcomed the new academic year inside a much-improved school building.

Inside the school has undergone renovation works over the summer to open up and extend the foyer, with a new school office as well as modern toilets and cloakrooms for the Key Stage 2 children.

The works have been overseen by Rosalind Trigg, former head teacher and were undertaken by AJ Quinn Building Contractors.

The new building was blessed in a special service by Father James Norris OSB, attended by pupil representatives from each class.
