A NEW book by local author Irena Morgan offers a unique pocket-sized insight into the illustrious history of Abergavenny.

Abergavenny History Tour guides us around the streets and alleyways, parks and buildings, showing how its famous landmarks used to look and how they’ve changed over the years as well as exploring its lesser-known sights and hidden corners.

With the help of a handy location map, readers are invited to follow a timeline of events and discover for themselves the changing face of Abergavenny.

Irena explained, “Turn a corner in the town centre and you’re likely to glimpse a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills or see a ceramic or a blue plaque capturing the spirit of bygone days. This book aims to guide you through some of these historic highlights.”

Abergavenny History Tour is now available to buy in all good bookshops. All proceeds from the book will be donated to Abergavenny Museum.
