TEE off in aid of the Hospice of the Valleys by taking part in a special charity golf day in Abergavenny next month.

The special charity golf day is held at Wernddu Golf Club each year – and now they are looking for teams of four to enter this year's event on June 6.

The idea for the day was conceived at a committee meeting in April 2000 and the event has grown each year, raising cash for a different charity each time.

Last year £4,280 was raised for Velindre Hospital and this year the Tredegar-based hospice has been chosen as the beneficiary from the event.

The hospice provides free specialist palliative care for patients with cancer across Blaenau Gwent and the valleys.
