CALLING all fans of the 1980s music scene in and around Abergavenny. A South Wales-based music promoter is keen to get in touch with former four-piece band, Da Da who were active on the scene back in the day.
Dai Rock, based in Tonypandy, was a big fan of the band’s music; he particularly recalls numbers called, ‘Pearl’ and ‘Fleece the Wind’ and is now working with a German producer creating a compilation album from artists active at that time.
Dai, 61, a former pupil of King Henry VIII said, ‘They were a great band with a good following. I have tried looking online but can’t find a trace of them.’
‘This label wants to put together a compilation album of Welsh bands who were active throughout the 70s and 80s and have asked me for recommendations. I would love to catch up with Da Da as I think they fully deserve a place in the line-up.’
If any readers recall Da Da, drop us a line here at the Chronicle and we will pass any information on to Dai.
