ON Sunday, Abergavenny Town Girls and Ladies played happy host to the South Wales and Women’s League end of season football blast.

Staged at Abergavenny Leisure Centre, East met West as 26 under 11 teams, 23 under nine teams, and 12 under seven teams took the trip up to Abergavenny to play the beautiful game.

Abergavenny Town Girls would like to thank all the committee members and parents who volunteered to make the day such a successful showcase for girls football.

A spokesperson for the club told the Chronicle, “A huge thanks must go to Abergavenny’s Tesco for donating fruit, water, and raffle prizes. Mr Mike Pearson for donating a bouncy castle, and Raglan FC for donating raffle prizes and their continued support.”
