ABERGAVENNY Hockey Club U9’s section pulled together and gave it their all to secure two third places in the recent South Wales Finals.

The U9s had a team in both the Cup and Plate competitions, and a combination of silky skill and power passing led to each team bagging third place.

Under 9 Coach Becky Sheen said, “To have both team finishing third in two competitions is a great achievement for the club. The players have all progressed hugely over this season and with many of the team moving up to U11s next season the club is in great hands.”
