HERBIE McKenna-Morgan competed last week at the Icelandic Easter Open tennis tournament in Reykjavik, Iceland. Herbie won his opening main draw match against German player Niklas Gesslein with a score of 7-5, 6-2, and was particularly delighted by this crucial win as it has now given him a 14&U Junior World ranking of 576 ( and a 'Race To Masters' ranking of 408 ). Herbie and Icelandic double's partner Anton Magnusson narrowly lost their match with a 10-8 tie break, but nevertheless displayed some great tennis and enjoyed the experience. Herbie now hopes to compete at another international event at the end of May, in either Italy or Estonia, as he tries to climb higher in the rankings.
