The summer is nearly over but the fun doesn’t stop there! That’s the message from Abergavenny Hockey Club which is holding an open day on Saturday, September 5 at Abergavenny Leisure Centre as part of the Hockey Wales National Club Open Weekend 2015
There will be loads on offer for new and existing club members with friendly coaches and volunteers on hand to help you get started.
If you thought hockey was not for you then think again! As well as the traditional game, there are now new and exciting ways to play the game, whether Rush Hockey, 4689 or back2 there is something out there for everyone.
The Abergavenny Hockey Club open weekend will have activities for all ages and abilities regardless of hockey playing experience.
“Between 9.30 and 11:30 we are inviting children to come and enjoy the fun, we have an inflatable hockey pitch, cake stalls, tea, coffee and drinks as well as all of the information you need to get your children into playing hockey in Abergavenny. We also have balloons and party bags for children,” said a club spokesman.
Following this, we have a ‘turn up and play’ afternoon for adults and older children, with a number of small sided games taking place to get you involved.
We have all of the equipment that you need to get involved, just turn up and enjoy the fun.
