ABERGAVENNY Mayor Cllr samantha Dodd was on hand to launch the newly developed website on behalf of Abergavenny Bowls club.

Visiting the club in Avenue Road for the first time she expressed her delight in being asked to perform the task of sending the website onto the "world wide web" using a mobile Internet connection.

She was welcomed to the club by Chairman Ieuan Jenkins, Club President Bill Cooke and a number of members who were attending their usual Wednesday night club night.

The website will allow visitors to the site to see what is going on in Abergavenny regarding bowls and also for current members to keep in touch with club activities. It will also help those moving to Abergavenny to find their local bowls facility.
