LAST week the Isabelle Russell County competition was held at the Monmouthshire with players coming from all over the county for the annual competition.
The winner was Pauline Pearson who had a remarkable score of net 64.
Tuesday was the Seniors Open Day. Over 170 entrants from far and wide starting swinging at 7.30am.
The weather was excellent and the winners were Jim Price from Pontypridd with 37 points in Cat. A and Allan Bond from Cardiff in Cat. B
On Thursday the qualifying round of the Australian Spoons Foursomes was won by Marianne Chetwynd and Gia Asprou with 32 points.
Saturday saw the Kennard and Machin medal competition played – the winners were Andrew Haile with a net 68 in Division One, and Martin Aplin with a net 67 in Division Two.
Finally on Sunday the mixed team went to Green Meadow to play St Pierre in the next round of the Ping Mixed Foursomes and came away with a 3-0 win to march onward to the next round.
