GOLFING youngster Addie Francis was recently crowned Monmouthshire County Ladies Bronze Champion after winning the competition on the 13th hole.

The Christ College Brecon pupil also claimed the lowest gross score for the week.

No sooner had she put down her golfing iron, then she was picking it up again and making the trip to Borth and Aberdovey to compete in the Mid-Wales under-18 girls championships.

Addie played under her handicap of 22 and came away as Mid-Wales champion.

Addie, who has been part of the British Junior Golf tour to America last summer for the last five years has decided she will concentrate on tournaments throughout the UK this season, although she will be attending events in Portugal and Spain.
