WERNDDU Golf Club’s Ladies Section held their AGM and Prizegiving in February when the out-going Captain, Sheila Francis, celebrated achieving another fantastic season of golf, winning the majority of prizes on offer.

Her achievements both on and off the course were rewarded by Wernddu Golf Club when she was made an Honorary Life Member in December.

Other trophy winners were Dina Davies, June Anderson, Lyn Atkinson, Lynne Gardner, Chris Williams, Kay Blackwell, Nicky Lewis, Lesley Hooper and Cherie Randall.

Following the election of June Street as the Lady Captain for 2018-19, Lyn Atkinson was named as her Vice-Captain, and the event closed with a buffet lunch which was enjoyed by all present.

The Ladies’ Section is to hold an Open Day on July 7, and all are welcome.

The Ladies Section tees-off at 9.15am every Tuesday morning, winter and summer, and new members, whatever their handicap, are always welcome.
