THE good folks at Raglan Parc Golf club recently put on their cowboy hats, picked up their fiddles and went hey diddle diddle for a charity fundraiser to provide funds for a children’s life support machine at Neville Hall.
The Country and Western and hog roast evening at the Club sold out almost immediately.
A big thanks to the organisers – Paul Murphy, John Scannell and Nick Smith, for a successful evening.
Local entertainers, Sloe Gin, Silurian and the Buskuleles, volunteered their services, and provided a great night of country music.
As well as eating, drinking, whooping, stomping and singing, many of the audience were persuaded to embarrass themselves by displaying their attempts to copy the line dancing skills demonstrated to them.
The event was so successful that the club raised £2,500 during the event. A figure which far exceeded the most optimistic projections.
